Locations: Classes will be held outdoors on public/private lands around Helena area. Exact location will vary depending on the lesson. Each Sunday evening, an email will be sent out with the location for the week and any other details you need to know.

During our spring session, we will be exploring our local nature networks, from plants and animals to how everything fits together in each ecosystem. During this session, we will include hands-on activities and projects such as mapping, creating posters/booklets, and of course all kinds of field observations and explorations! These hands-on activities and projects will take place from 10:00 - 12:00. We will host an optional additional hour from 12:00-1:00 each class, where we will deepen our learning through nature journaling practice - this intentional time provides a chance to learn a variety of nature journaling techniques such as writing, collecting, observing under the microscope, sketching/painting our observations from the day, and overall enjoying a peaceful moment in nature. 

We highly recommend this additional hour! However, we know not all learners will enjoy a focused time of intentional observation, so we chose to make this an optional class add-on. You know your child best!
