Curriculum
This Fall, we focus on Wellness! —that combination of physical, mental and emotional health kids need to thrive. Our curriculum will help kids develop language, strategies and habits that help build strong bodies, minds and hearts. As always creatures will be our teachers, and the magical, shifting autumn landscape will be our inspiration.

Our lessons follow a steady progression and are organized into three units:

- In our Feeling Centered unit, we focus on the benefits of healthy time outdoors, connecting to the earth, moving our bodies, and learning a new mindful breathing technique each week.

- In our Taking Leaps unit, we explore risk taking, embracing change and learning to cope with both successes and challenges.

- Our Strong Connections unit rounds out the season, reminding us that our hearts are supported when we feel gratitude and strong connection to family, friends, community and our planet.
What are Tinkergarten Days Like?

With Tinkergarten, Nature is the classroom! No matter the setting, every lesson connects us to the natural world. Creatures are our teachers, and mud and sticks our tools.

Class rhythm:
- Welcome and transition
- Opening Circle
- Guided Play
- Closing Circle

These classes are open-ended and child-led, because we know that kids learn best when they lead the way. Each lesson is engineered to engage kids in play that they simply can’t refuse, through irresistible invitations to play.
Theyare also designed to have a parent or guardian accompany the enrolled child/children. During class not only do our children get to learn, but as adults we are also always learning alongside them! As the accompanying Guide you'll learn ways to support your child's development during these oh so important early years, and how you can easily and simply support learning beyond our class time. We have moms, dads, grandparents, nannies, family and friends who have filled this "Guide" role in our classes and it is part of what builds connection and community that reaches beyond our class time together!
